Judging by his post, English isn't his first (or maybe even second) language. In some countries eBay isn't very popular, so it might have actually been earnest advice.

That said, get it on eBay and Craigslist. There are tons of people out there looking for decent laptops, mobile phones, routers etc. and not all that many of them are on here. The broken wireless isn't a major issue since you can get USB mobile broadband adapters anyway. Since you're open to offers on price it'd probably save you a lot of time to list there and let people bid on it.

If you want to sell your laptop then the best suggestion is for you is you have registered on the web site on e bay or some thing else . Then there are lots of facilities can be available for sell your laptop .

Now that I think about it, you could probably get your asking price by taking it to a repair shop or reseller. If the system's all okay I don't doubt they'd be interested in fitting a new battery and selling it on to someone else.

It's certainly worth a shot if you're having trouble selling it here.
