Non/Broken English Speakers on Forums

Postby Invader Zim » Thu Jun 24, 2010 10:30 am

Just though I'd bring this up as a serious topic. Perhaps one also for this forum admin to take a look at (judging by a few of the recent posters on here). Personally I'm sick to the back teeth of these people who can't even string a proper sentence together in english coming on and posting complete drivel - futhermore - when they are blatantly just doing it so they can get their signature link posted again it really really annoys me. It wouldn't be so bad but often they obvisouly have no interest in what they are trying to convey. Please admin, can we just ban these users?? Anybody else have nay thoughts? Maybe one of thsese non-english writing so and so's would like to air an opinion on the matter?

I've noticed a couple of those posts you're talking about on here. They don't really inspire love for a forum do they. I would certainly suggest the admin remove those users as soon as they can.

I'd agree with the above. It's so dissapointing to see you've had a reply to one of your posts only to discover it's been made by some non-english speaker whos sole interest just seems to be getting the odd link plastered on the forum. It also puts people off replying to posts and probably even joining a forum. Yes admin, please just remove these people straight away.
when reading the post above, take into consideration that I am a n00b . . . apparently

I have taken the decision to remove forum members with very poor written English as I feel the posts are a detriment to the forum as a whole. I have left the post above made by 'asleegyle' as an example of the kind of post that may get a user and/or their posts removed from the forum. I hope that the vast majority of users agree with the decision. Thanks.
